Children age 5 and up are invited to build a lemonade stand for free. Parental supervision is required at all times. All giveaways and event materials available while supplies last and distributed to participating children only. Limit one per child. Quantities limited; no rain checks. The Lego Group will donate $1 for each lemonade stand built to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to support the fight against childhood cancer.
A $20 purchase of Lego Friends kits earns you a free exclusive Stephanie mini doll (like a minifig).
We were at Legoland Discovery Center last week and my daughter liked these kits a lot. They’re really cute!

Where to call to get the circulars delivered
When we moved last year, I was not receiving the weekly circular ads for Jewel, Dominick’s, etc. in the mail anymore. I was frustrated beyond belief. I tried calling but could not find the right person to help me. I gave up. This week a friend found this number for me 800-998-2339. It’s an automated/voice recording process but I am now signed up! And I wanted to share it with you.

For more free spelling fun, check out Spelling City. It allows you to use a pre-made list or add in your own word, play games with the words, hear the words spoken by a real voice and used in a sentence, and more.
There’s also Spell By Color, a free program created by a mom who wanted to a program to teach rules to her child. I have used this program a bit with my daughter and I liked the concept.
Thanks to Freely Educate for sharing these great freebies.

Registration is required for either class, held on Saturday, January 28, or February 4, from 8am-5pm, at the Operations and Public Safety Building, 19808 West Grand Avenue just west of Route 45 in Lindenhurst. Call 847-968-3411 to register for this free class.
Looking for free family fun in Lake County this winter?
If you’re like most families, you’re trying to save money. But you also want to do some fun stuff with the kids, maybe even something educational on the cheap. I have written about things to do in the summer for the past few years and I even wrote one this fall too. I have not gotten around to writing one about winter yet.
Well, I’m not going to since Little Lake County has a perfectly good list right here. So go check it out. Let them know I sent you. And go have some fun!!
