Walgreen’s has an easy deal for you this coming week. Thanks to Bargain Briana for bringing it to my attention (read her post for a complete list of deals). From Sunday, June 21 through Saturday, June 27, you can get Aquafresh Advanced Toothpaste for free, one tube at a time.

If you have never done a Register Rewards (RR) deal at Walgreen’s, there are some things you must know. First, you cannot “roll” the deals. If you get $3 RR from buying the toothpaste, which essentially makes it free or gives you a profit if you have a manufacturer’s coupon, you CANNOT use it to buy another tube of the same toothpaste and get $3 in RR again. It just doesn’t work. Don’t try it!

Second, RR are like cash and can be used on a purchase of almost anything else in the store. BUT Walgreen’s has a computer setup that only allows you to use the number of coupons equal to or less than the number of items you have in the purchase. I have purchased a 35 cent caramel at the checkout to offset this on occasion, but usually try to find something I need.

Third, go early in the sale if you can. Walgreen’s seems to sell out quickly on its deals and it’s hit-or-miss as to whether or not the items will be back in stock before the sale (and RR deal) is over. *sigh*

All that said, this is a great easy one to start with. So go get some free toothpaste!
